1. Robinson steps out of the frame and the camera slowly dollies back. An empty room. Voiceover: “Somebody wrote a poem once. Something about, every man kills the thing he loves. He could have been writing about me.”
2. They go to a Chinese restaurant and she eats an omelette.
3. He sees himself in the mirror, has a premonition, opens his jacket and examines his side. Looking for a bloodstain. He takes out a pocket notebook, sits down at the desk, begins writing.
