I’m reading this really excellent book called “Virtual Worlds,” by Benjamin Woolley. It’s about virtual reality and even though it was written about 5 years ago, it hasn’t dated. That’s because it deals more with the concept of VR. He has a nice wry sense of humor, it isn’t dry at all.

Tonight instead of going to any Halloween parties (I was only invited to one and it was later cancelled) I’m staying home with Andy, and Michael is coming over. We have the new DVD of “Eraserhead” to watch. I’m psyched for it. It’s gonna be fun to blast the sound. I just hope the annoying people who live below us aren’t having some loud party tonight, ‘cause if they do then we’ll hear every stupid thump-thump from their stereo and every stupid Trixie twitter.

I bought the DVD of “Schizopolis” this morning online; just couldn’t wait anymore. Gosh I hope it gets here soon. Anyone else out there seen it/like it?

Finally I was able to get the gym last night. I was a bit sore afterwards but it felt good. Had been so busy with the book that I couldn’t make it over there for a week. I came home and Andy & I had a pretty in-depth talk about sex, intimacy, etc. We didn’t exactly come up with a definitive solution but it was good to articulate everything. Andy wanted some nookie after all that but I wasn’t in that frame of mind. He spent the rest of the evening teasing me about it and I sort of played along. Sometimes I think he has a sixth sense for choosing the moments that I’m least likely to be horny.

O by the way, the book release party went really well. I sold a respectable number of copies; someone even bought 4 at once! My total thus far is 19 copies sold (not including the copies at Quimby’s; I don’t know how many I’ve sold there yet). I think I can make the next reading at Quimby’s on Friday, November 21st (hin hint) really worthwhile. Shoehorn all the no-shows on Wednesday to coming to that one. I’m a bit sad that no more net orders from the website has come in. Everyone was promising they’d order a copy today since it’s Pay Day …

Sorry to rant; it seems possible to like people and be misanthropic simultaneously.
