On Tuesday, Barack Obama won the Illinois Democratic Senate Primary. He’ll be facing off against the Republican candidate, Jim Ryan. I really think that Obama is going to win. That would make him the only black member of the Senate. And that would mean (potentially) 49 Republicans, 49 Democrats, and 1 independant (who often leans Democratic) …

And I may be getting ahead of myself, but I believe that Obama has the potential to be the first African-American president as well. He’s got the charisma, the integrity, the conviction, and the eloquence. I’m really gonna keep my eye on him.
