Thanksgiving Isn’t Just About Turkey …

I picked out 2 wines for Thursday. You might be looking for a recommendation yourself, so I thought I’d pass this along. And the best part is that both of these are less than $10 a bottle! Both should pair very well with the usual T-Day grub. American wine for an American holiday.

Firesteed 2002 Pinot Noir, Oregon

Pale garnet hue. Charcoal, dried cherry and thyme aromas. Medium-bodied, this has a light touch of spice and moderate depth of fruit backed by an earthy, slightly ragged finish with precise acidity.
RATED: 86 points (Highly Recommended)

Castle Rock 2003 Carneros Pinot Noir, California

88 PTS WILFRED WONG. Wonderfully balanced and stylish, the pleasing ’03 Castle Rock Pinot Noir coats the palate politely with finely ripened strawberry flavors; superb with medium-rare lamb chops.
