On Saturday thejeremyshow and I went to Hollywood Beach. I was a little hesitant (slow bus ride up there, would it be crowded? would I sunburn?) but we had a great time. Alternating between lying on our towels and passing the Vanity Fair back and forth, a running commentary about the other people on the beach, and swimming. The water wasn’t icy per se; it took some moments to get used to the temperature and then it was perfect. We talked about how surreal it was that in a few short months everything would be covered in ice.

Then after the beach we walked over to Moody’s Pub, got a table on the patio and had Wonderous Hamburgers and cold beer. Can it really get any better?

I vowed to do this all again at least once more before summer’s end.

Would anyone be up for meeting on Saturday at 1 o’clock @ Hollywood Beach? I figure that leaves a few hours of swimming and fun and time for Moody’s. I have plans to hang out with sumsinnow in the evening but am free before that. The weather forecast says “hot and humid,” which is perfect for the beach. Why would you want to be cooped up somewhere?
