For some reason, for me summertime means the reading of a William Faulkner book. I’ve done this every summer for the past several years. Andy thinks I’m insane. Nonetheless. This morning on the way to work I started “Sanctuary,” supposedly more accessible (and very sordid).
I was thinking that David Gordon Green would be the perfect director to take a crack at making a film adaptation of Faulkner. If you’ve seen his first film, “George Washington,” then you know what I’m talking about.
