So I haven’t been posting much. I’ve been working on the novel. Rewriting is like defending every word that’s already on the page to some judge that’s in your brain, sometimes it’s Oliver Wendell Holmes and other times it’s Scalia. And if you’re lucky you come up with a way to make what’s already on the page better. But mostly it’s lonely. It’s only when you stop writing and show it to someone that it becomes unlonely.
