No one took my up on my free dinner offer last night (notwithstanding xinexine72 who will get a raincheck) so I ended up going with my office manager Anne and her husband (!) It was delightful. I’ll let you know when the review appears, but I highly recommend the restaurant: Feed The Beast at 4300 North Lincoln. The United Nations nachos were especially tasty. Great beer selection too. And, our server was a hottie. His name, amusingly, was Andy.

Today we’re doing training/evaluation of a candidate for the open position. As we did yesterday. Yesterday’s guy just didn’t fit the bill, though he did bear a notable resemblance to Francis Ford Coppola. Hopefully today will be better. It makes realize what a poor trainer I am. I mean I guess I’m okay, but I don’t have a gift for it. Maybe because I have no special love for this job.

Andy’s old college friend MFis coming into town tonight. I’m not what worried about it but I’m also not quite sure what to expect. The apartment sure looks shiny clean though.

The new David Lynch film premiered in Venice last night. And the critics are completely confused. During the press conference afterwards, someone asked him if he was feeing quite alright lately.
