O how I love you, Rudy Van Gelder!

I bought two more this week: “It Might As Well Be Spring,” by Ike Quebec and “Happenings,” by Bobby Hutcherson. The latter contains an exquisite track called “Bouquet,” an homage to Erik Satie. Lovely.

Almost every album by RVG sounds amazing when played in surround on a good stereo. You can hear every detail in the music.
