Strangely quiet here at the office right now. This evening Andy and I are going to see Woman in the Dunes at the Siskel. It’s in a new print, the director’s cut. Should be a knockout.

Since it’s quiet I’ve started compiling a shortlist of places in Chicago I’d like to work. Here it is so far:

Siskel Film Center
Facets
Chicago Reader
Time Out Chicago (maybe)

The second, third and fourth are extremely difficult (if not impossible) prospects. The first would be challenging and fun, but probably non-writing and modestly-salaried. The last two would mean lots and lots of hours. Sigh. My list needs lots of work.

Just gotta keep my eyes peeled.
