Ornette Coleman Wins Pulitzer Prize

Awesome. 

However, a really really mediocre play about grief, Rabbit Hole, also won a Pulitzer. No offense to

 (he got me the free ticket for the Goodman) … the Goodman’s production was as polished and well-staged as it could have been. But the script …

It’s the the safest, whitest play about grief I’ve ever seen. The kind of thing that, when it’s over, you say, “Oh gosh, that was terribly intense … so, is everyone still up for dessert and coffee?” Doesn’t ever actually disturb you. Can’t compare to Wit for instance.
