Last night, after working hard on some writing, I gave myself a present and made my first ever Sazerac.

Wow.

Loved it, loved it. It has it all: sweet, bitter, herbal, with just a hint of slow-burning fire. This will definitely enter into heavy rotation for cocktail hour.

Arguably one of the first cocktails ever! Long Live New Orleans!
