Wow, my head is in a whirl. It feels like I have so much going on that … I can’t quite remember everything that’s going on. Thanksgiving travel, Andy Warhol @ Facets, the Lynch double feature @ the Siskel, last screening (for me) of REELING this Friday, the appearance of 100SP this Saturday at the DIY show, plus I want to see Greg Allen’s new show and the show at A Red Orchid and, like, I have hardly played with my Newmark USB turntable or listened to all the George Shearing and Nancy Sinatra albums I won on eBay. Is it really all that much or am I just overreacting? (Rhetorical question).
My brother visited me on a quick stop as he contunes his road trip to Colorado. It was fairly casual and stress free. Yet, somehow, it threw me out of whack a bit. I think time spent with my family always does that. We did some fun stuff, did a whole lot more shopping than I would have predicted. I took him to the Threadless store and also to Ragstock. Had some Art of Pizza. Ate at Wilde on Broadway. So weird that I will see him again next week. Last year actually I don’t think I got to see him at all.
