1. The cloud of smoke: an ink splotch spreading in a tank of water. Eerie.
2. Dana Andrews’ voice is so different than in Laura. More gravel, deeper. He was definitely a smoker and a drinker.
3. The hypnotic gleaming shoehorn-like object. “This is all you see. This is all you see.”
