Frozen Land [2005]

1. She opens her mouth like a coquettish robot and he places one yellow pill on her tongue.
2. The drip at the end of the policewoman’s nose turns to snot. She wipes it away with her hand.
3.  The blond boy in a robe, snorting coke, doing a shot of whiskey, laughing (but we don’t hear him).

A dour little slice of Finnish misery, but strangely compelling.
