Apparently the legendary photographer Richard Avedon loved Trader Vic’s. “Wherever we went on location, if there was a Trader Vic’s restaurant we had to visit it. Avedon just loved the tacky atmosphere, the phony ‘Polynesian’ dishes, and the crazy rum drinks.”
