3 things about John Frankenheimer’s THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE

1. On two different occasions, Janet Leigh lights a cigarette and then gives it to Frank Sinatra.
2. The Abe Lincoln lamp in the Shaw house: the base is a bust of Lincoln and the lampshade is a hideous, oversized stovepipe hat.
3. The books piled up on every available surface in Sinatra’s apartment.
