2. The scene where Ed takes his wife to the high-end clothes store and has her try on a variety of outfits while he passes judgment on them predates Vertigo.
3. He is assaulted by a riot of colors and momentarily blacks out. When he opens his eyes again, the football is rocking back and forth on the floor next to the bed but his son is gone. Like he has suddenly vanished.
