Jour de fête [1949]

1. A movie is being shown in a tiny theater on the square, a western. For a few moments the soundtrack of the western becomes the soundtrack of the world just outside the theater. A man and a woman face each other and say nothing; the characters in the western speak for them.
2. He rides the fence.
3. The butcher chops off the toes of his new shoes.
