Julia [1977]

1. “It’s the best play anyone’s written in a long time.”
Pause. “Are you sure?” she asks.
He walks over to her. “I’m positive.” He smiles.
She returns the smile. Then it turns into a frown. “But are you sure?”
2. He lifts his lapel and sniffs the rose stuck in the buttonhole. “I hear the girls in Paris are wearing watches on their ankles.”
3. Julia’s hand slowly moves along the sheet until it reaches Lillian’s.
