The scan of the negatives is finished. The negatives were scanned at between 2K and 3K, 2400 pixels across, using what’s called a “flat pass” approach. No color correction or adjustment, simply capturing the greatest possible detail, including the grain. Below is a sample frame. Even in its raw state, this footage looks gorgeous.

You’ll notice the sprocket holes are visible at each corner. That’s because the scan captured every bit of the frame, allowing for greater freedom during the final editing. If I want to, I’ll be able to resize or crop the image.
