3 things about Vic Armstrong’s LEFT BEHIND

Left Behind [2014]

1. Their clothes are left behind … but, apparently, not their underwear.
2. Conveniently placed flatbed stacked with canisters labeled “flammable.”
3. Her blouse simply doesn’t have a top button.

Well, this movie wasn’t bad/funny/bad, it was just bad/meh/bad. Weirdest thing about it (aside from Chad Michael Murray’s freakishly artificial-looking beard) was how restrained Nicolas Cage was. He was basically the Jack Lemmon/Airport ’77 of the film. True, there’s plenty of crappy CGI but you see that in blockbusters too. So, in summary, a letdown.

Trivia: production design by Stephen Altman. Oh man, what would your dad think?!
