trip

Whoa. I took the plunge and bought plane tickets to LA so I can see Grace Jones at the Hollywood Bowl on July 26. I figure I may never get another chance to see her perform. Seems doubtful she’d ever come to Chicago. Plus, my friend Joe offered to put me up (he’s going to the concert too).

And I haven’t been to LA since 2000. The previous year I’d finally decided, after months of living there, after months of deliberation, that there was no way in hell I’d want to live in LA. Strangely (or not), right after coming to that conclusion I began to enjoy the city a lot more. This visit should be enjoyable indeed. Memories.

Just the latest (and most urgent) example of why the traditional media outlets are either gonna change real quick or become extinct real quick.

I Feel Sick

This is sickening. I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. I feel … I don’t know how to feel or what to say yet.
