Ever notice how, nine times out of ten, whenever someone says, “Oh, I’ll fax that right over,” said fax never shows up?

Goodgravy. Today is slower than molasses in January. Can’t decide, when I get home from work, if I should have a nap or get a haircut. Both have merits. It’s so darn gray and drab out there. What my mom would call “good sleeping weather.” My brain is so not-awake right now. I feel incapable of stringing words together coherently.

Andrew Hill has died. I’ve only started listening to his work recently, but his last album “Time Lines” is magnificent.  Knotty, moving, incredibly free and in complete control all at the same time.

I think I’m suddenly so happy that I’m going to scream!

At a campaign stop on Wednesday, Sen. John McCain was asked what to do about Iran. His response? He sang “bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran” to the tune of the Beach Boys’ “Barbara Ann.”

Seriously.
