Feels like an iffy day here at work already. Groan.

I feel a bit guilty: Brandon is being run ragged upstairs, helping out in shipping, whereas I have comparatively little to do. Well, things’ll change.

Cobra Lounge for lunch was great. They got me my food in 15 minutes flat, so it’s a doable option since I only get 30 minutes. I left the bartender a huge tip with the hopes that she’ll treat us right on Thursday when we go for drinks (no, I did NOT have a drink with lunch; she was also the waitress).

Andy and I are still at a loss as to what to do on our anniversary. Saturday. 6 years. Perhaps a stroll through Millenium Park, dinner and then a movie.

If anyone is looking for a summer job, I have a lead … working at Millennium Park for $11.00/hr. Let me know ASAP.

It was 420 all night long. Last night was hanging out with Joey and eating pizza, chips, watching “Keeping Up Appearances” and “Naqoyqatsi” and then the last half of “Forbidden Planet.” Damn, it was fun, really. I splurged and caught a cab home, then in bed fell into a bottomless dreamless sleep and didn’t wake up until 6:30.

Wrote a few more pages today and did various stupid errands, when all I really wanted to do was go to Tower and buy Salsoul Orch. “Deluxe Anthology.” Instead, I stopped into Disc Replay and bought Londonbeat “In The Blood” for $2. It’s better than people generally remember.

Andy just called me up from work and said, “Can there be a cocktail waiting for me when I get home?”

I replied, “There’s always a cocktail waiting for you.”

We’re going out tonight. Will I have any stamina? Something for dinner somewhere and then a party.

Windmills of my Mind

Here’s what happens when I go to Sidetrack on Friday night. I subseqently have two dreams starring Bea Arthur.

DREAM #1: It’s the new Muppet movie and this one takes place in Chicago. Bea is one of the adult “leads.” The scene I’m in/watching takes place either on Lincoln Avenue near Belmont or else somewhere on North Milwaukee Ave. We’re all hustling and bustling down the street, in a hurry to get somewhere.

DREAM #2: I am accompanying Bea to St. Joseph’s hospital. She is going to have a masectomy. I’m there for moral support.

Check It Out

My second published resturant review appears in this week’s Chicago Reader (look in Section 2). I write about State Cafe/Restaurant on West Webster … and have a fun time ripping a mediocre $80 dinner.

Well we’ve had a sort of tepid response to DVD night lately, and seeing as how Ben/Josh are moving soon Andy & I have decided to suspend it for now. No hard feelings.

Haw Haw

Hey, did you hear that Tom Delay is at increased risk for avian flu?

Yeah, he’s a chicken.
