a recipe: Spring Ahead Punch

I concocted this for our Oscars party this year and it’s fantastic! Light, refreshing, not too sweet. It still amazes me how complex a drink’s flavor can be when you combine just a few of the right ingredients.

SPRING AHEAD PUNCH
22 oz. aged Barbados rum
12 oz. blended rum (such as Denizen aged white rum)
8 oz. Plantation O.F.T.D. rum
14 oz. lime juice
14 oz. simple syrup
28 oz. unsweetened coconut water
28 oz. water
14 dashes of Angostura bitters

Combine in a punchbowl and add a large block of ice.
