3 things about Michael Powell’s THE EDGE OF THE WORLD

The Edge of the World [1937]

1. Cutting peat.
2. He slings the sheep over his shoulder and pulls himself up the side of the hill.
3. The island is being evacuated. The two men discuss what to do about the sheepdogs. They conclude that no one would be willing to buy them on the mainland, so the only thing left to do is drown them.
