1. Early morning. The street is still almost dark. On the right side of the frame is a green light; on the left the faintly illuminated window of her apartment building’s foyer. They climb the stoop in darkness and go inside.
2. Lee Grant casually opens her purse and Pearl Bailey drops three ham-hocks inside.
3. A baby inside a red plaid suitcase.
