Now that the Kickstarter has concluded I’ve been able to get back to the nuts and bolts work of finishing the film. Over the weekend I had the chance to listen to the first complete rough mix of the soundtrack. It was thrilling! Matt Trifilo had worked his magic, blending together disparate sounds while patching over many rough spots. On Saturday we met up and compared notes. He’ll use the rest of the week for fine tuning. During our next session we’ll do a shot-by-shot review of the entire film, and after making another round or two of tweaks we’ll hopefully be ready to export the final soundtrack. Or rather, final soundtracks, plural: one for theatrical use and one for online/streaming.
