Last night Jason Adasiewicz and I met up to discuss the soundtrack of Roy’s World, which is moving forward quite nicely.

We’re cooking up some really cool ideas. This is the first time I’ve been able to work with a composer and musician from the very beginning of a project, and I’m loving it.
Incidentally, our meeting place was Hopleaf. Surely one of the comfiest spots for a creative discussion I can imagine. It’s walking distance from my apartment. Jason used to live nearby once upon a time and the Hopleaf was a sort of hangout. We didn’t get any frites on this particular occasion, but they’re phenomenal. And Hopleaf always has some Metropolitan on tap — you can’t beat that.
