Adapted from the original Don the Beachcomber recipe as published by Jeff Berry.
COLONEL BEACH’S PLANTATION PUNCH
18 oz. fresh lime juice
36 oz. unsweetened pineapple juice
3 bottles of Reed’s Spicy Ginger beer (36 oz.)
32 oz. Meyers’s Jamaican rum
16 oz. Plantation 3-Stars Rum
8 oz. Mount Gay Eclipse rum
8 oz. John D. Taylor’s Velvet Falernum
16 dashes Angostura bitters
2 teaspoons Herbsaint
Combine in punchbowl over ice. Add ginger ale just before serving.
This was our punchbowl last night and it was fantastic! Not overly sweet, subtly spicy, rather high octane but not obnoxious. And the fact that I’m able to post about it this morning is proof positive that I’m not suffering from any ill effects!
