    Watching this right now, looked up Engle Hand Laundry, and it brought me here. This is one of my favorite movies! It always feels like a trip through time;)

    Watching it now. In college I sent shirts to French laundry place that boxed shirts like Engle Hand. was it a real place in NYC?

      As far as I can discern, this was entirely fictional. The film was produced in Hollywood, of course, and not actually shot in NYC. (But what a perfect way to communicate this clue to the audience!)
